RAMEN

When can we get ramen?

We serve ramen from 12-3pm Monday-Saturday and 12-4.30 Sundays - WE DO NOT SERVE RAMEN AT NIGHT/FOR DINNER.

We offer our ramen takeaway for pick up ONLY- we do not do delivery. 

GF, VEG & VEGAN ramen options- We have a gluten free chicken ramen, a vegetarian ramen and a vegan ramen.

 

MENU

Where can I find the menu?

Our izakaya menu is not posted online as it changes daily. Any menus you may come across online are old, and likely out of date.

​Please email us at barwaizakaya@gmail.com to request a copy of our current menu if you would like to view it prior to visiting us. 

We do not offer takeaway, except for ramen at lunch.

Do you have a kids menu?

We do not have a kids menu. We do have numerous dishes that most children are happy with.

HAPPY HOUR(S)

Do you have happy hour(s)?

Every day between 4pm and 6pm our oysters are half price, with any drink purchase. Our full menu is available during the oyster happy hour; you aren’t just limited to oysters. 

On Sundays we offer $15 Kosho Marys from 12pm-4:30pm.​

$3 Karaage Chicken Bites & $9 Frosty Pints of Sapporo from 3pm-5pm.

 

BOOKINGS

Are bookings essential?

Bookings are recommended, but not essential. If your group is larger than 2, walk in spots are very limited.

How long is my booking?

Bookings for 2 before 4pm are 1.5hrs. All other bookings are 2hrs. If you would like to stay longer, we would love to have you, give us a call on 6288 7876 for an extended sitting.

We do allow extra time for our larger groups so everyone is comfortable & not feeling rushed throughout the sitting. 

What is the difference between Hightop Seating & Restaurant Seating?

We have two types of seating options. Hightop tables with stools & restaurant seating with low standard chairs/booth seating (for larger groups). If you have any further questions, please give us a call on 6288 7876 or send us an email at barwaizakaya@gmail.com

Why can't I edit my booking online?

You are able to make some changes online, but if we are unable to accommodate those new changes (for example: earlier or later sitting time, table capacity or last minute cancellations) it is best to give us a call. 

Do you have outdoor seating?

All bookings are for tables indoors, we do not reserve our outdoor tables due to Tasmania’s unpredictable weather.

Are we able to walk-in without a booking?

We do take walk ins. The walk in spaces operate on a ‘first in best dressed’ system. We do not reserve them. There is no ‘good’ time to get a walk in space, it is completely random and up to chance. Everyday is different. You just turn up and try your luck.

​Can we bring the kids?

Children are welcome.

Do you take group bookings?

You are able to book for groups up to 15 guests online via our website. For groups over 15, we ask that you give us a call or send us an email to make a reservation.

For all necessary information in regards to catering and what we offer our larger groups will be sent via email.

ALLERGIES & DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

We have vegetarian, vegan & gluten free options available. For more specific intolerances & allergies we urge you to contact us directly to see if we can accommodate them.

CAKES

Can we bring a cake?

We allow cakes, there is no charge. Please contact us in advance if you plan to bring a cake so we can adjust your booking time if necessary.

We cannot allow sparklers in the building due to fire alarms, but candles are OK.
